Services at Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic

The clinic runs two tracks of care. Everyday pediatrics covers check-ups, vaccination, nutrition and childhood illness. Child neurology covers seizures, development, behaviour and movement concerns. Dr. Akanksha Bansal sees children in both, which means a child whose fever led to a seizure does not have to start again with a new doctor.

Well-baby Visits & Growth Monitoring

A well-baby visit is a scheduled check-up for a healthy child, used to track growth, review milestones, plan vaccinations and answer parents' questions before problems develop. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, each visit includes weight, length and head circumference plotted on a growth chart, a developmental review, and a full physical examination.

  • Growth is plotted on a chart over time, not judged from a single reading.
  • Each visit reviews milestones, feeding, sleep and the next vaccinations due.
  • Bring the immunisation card and growth record to every visit.

02

Child Vaccination

Childhood vaccination protects a child against serious infections by giving specific vaccines at set ages. Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic follows the Indian Academy of Pediatrics immunisation schedule, checks the child is well before vaccinating, records every dose on the immunisation card, and explains what side effects are normal afterwards.

  • The clinic follows the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) schedule.
  • Missed doses can almost always be caught up. A delayed schedule is not restarted.
  • Every dose is recorded on the immunisation card, so bring it each time.

Newborn & Neonatal Care

Newborn care covers the first weeks of life, when feeding, weight, jaundice and sleep need close attention. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, the newborn visit includes a full examination, a weight check against birth weight, assessment for jaundice, a feeding review, and practical guidance for parents on cord care, bathing and safe sleep.

  • The first check-up is usually within the first week after discharge.
  • Weight, jaundice and feeding are the three things watched most closely.
  • Fever in a baby under three months is always urgent. Do not wait.

04

Infant & Child Nutrition

Nutrition guidance helps parents work out what, when and how much a child should eat at each stage, from breastfeeding through weaning to school-age meals. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, advice is built around the child's growth chart and the family's own routine and food. You will not be handed a generic diet sheet.

  • Advice is based on the growth chart and your family's real routine and food.
  • Fussy eating is common in toddlers and rarely needs supplements.
  • Complementary feeding usually begins around six months of age.

05

Fever & Childhood Infections

Most childhood fevers are caused by viral infections that settle on their own, but the job of a consultation is to identify the few that need treatment or urgent care. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, a child with fever is examined for a source, assessed for warning signs, and given antibiotics only when they are needed.

  • Most fevers in children are viral and do not need antibiotics.
  • How a child looks and behaves matters more than the number on the thermometer.
  • Fever in a baby under three months is always assessed urgently.

06

Allergy & Asthma Care

Asthma and allergy care for children covers working out whether recurrent cough or wheeze is asthma, starting the right inhaled treatment, teaching correct inhaler technique, and identifying triggers. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, families leave with a written action plan describing what to do daily and what to do during an attack.

  • Recurrent night cough or wheeze with colds is worth assessing for asthma.
  • Inhalers with a spacer are the standard treatment for children, not nebulisers at home.
  • Inhaler technique is checked at every visit, because a correct drug used incorrectly does not work.

Adolescent Health

Adolescent health care covers the years from around ten to eighteen, when growth, puberty, sleep, mood and independence all change quickly. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, adolescents are seen with age-appropriate privacy, and visits cover growth and puberty, nutrition and iron status, sleep, screen use, mood, headaches and outstanding vaccinations.

  • Pediatric care continues through to eighteen years of age.
  • Adolescents are given space to raise concerns with appropriate privacy.
  • Iron deficiency, poor sleep and headaches are common and treatable at this age.

Child Neurology Consultation

A child neurology consultation looks at concerns involving a child's brain, nerves and muscles, such as seizures, delayed milestones, headaches or unusual movements. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic in Sector 55, Gurugram, Dr. Akanksha Bansal takes a detailed history, examines the child's development and nervous system, and explains in plain language what the findings mean for your family.

  • For seizures, delayed or lost milestones, headaches, and unusual movements.
  • Includes a full developmental and neurological examination.
  • Bring past prescriptions, discharge summaries, scan or EEG reports, and phone videos of any episode.

Epilepsy & Seizure Management

Seizure management for a child covers working out what type of seizures they are having, whether treatment is needed, and how to keep the child safe day to day. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, this includes reviewing the episode history, interpreting EEG and imaging when indicated, starting or adjusting medication, and planning regular follow-up.

  • Not every seizure means epilepsy, and not every child needs long-term medication.
  • EEG and imaging are interpreted alongside the history, never read in isolation.
  • Follow-up covers dose changes, side effects, school safety and activity advice.

Developmental Assessment

A developmental assessment checks whether a child's motor skills, speech, social interaction and thinking are progressing as expected for their age, and identifies where support is needed. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, the assessment combines a structured history, direct observation of the child, and examination, ending with a written plan the family can act on.

  • Covers motor skills, speech and language, social interaction, and learning.
  • Early identification matters more than a precise label in the first visit.
  • Ends with a written plan, including therapy referrals where they are needed.

11

Autism & ADHD Evaluation

An autism or ADHD evaluation gathers information from parents, school and direct observation to understand a child's social communication, attention, activity level and behaviour. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, the evaluation rules out other explanations such as hearing loss or seizures, and results in a practical plan for home and classroom support.

  • Uses parent history, school input and direct observation, not a single questionnaire.
  • Hearing, vision and seizures are considered before a behavioural diagnosis is made.
  • You leave with a support plan for home and school, along with any diagnosis.

Neuro-rehabilitation & Therapy Planning

Neuro-rehabilitation planning decides which therapies a child needs, in what order, and how progress will be measured. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Akanksha Bansal sets goals with the family, refers to physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy as required, and reviews at intervals to check the programme is still the right one.

  • Sets specific goals and reviews them regularly.
  • Coordinates physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy referrals.
  • Reviews progress at intervals and adjusts the plan when goals are met or missed.

Pediatric Headache

Most headaches in children are migraine or tension-type headaches, which are real but not dangerous, and they usually improve with a clear plan. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Akanksha Bansal takes a careful history, examines the child, checks for warning signs, and agrees practical steps to reduce how often headaches happen.

  • Most childhood headaches are migraine or tension-type, not a sign of a tumour.
  • A headache diary kept for two to four weeks before the visit is the most useful thing to bring.
  • Scans are needed only when the history or examination raises a specific concern.

Pediatric Stroke

A stroke in a child is a medical emergency: sudden weakness of the face, arm or leg, slurred speech or loss of vision needs a hospital immediately. After the emergency phase, Dr. Akanksha Bansal provides follow-up at Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, covering recovery, therapy, seizures, school and steps to lower the chance of another stroke.

  • Sudden weakness, facial droop, slurred speech or loss of vision: call 112 or 108 and go to hospital now.
  • Strokes can happen in newborns, children and teenagers, not only in older adults.
  • A baby who clearly favours one hand before 12 months should be checked for an early-life stroke.

Neurogenetic Disorders

Neurogenetic disorders are conditions caused by a change in a gene or chromosome that affects the brain, nerves or muscles. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Akanksha Bansal assesses children whose development, seizures, muscle tone or skills suggest a genetic cause, explains which tests may help, and coordinates long-term care once a diagnosis is made.

  • Consider a genetic cause when delay, seizures or low tone have no clear explanation.
  • A diagnosis can open up specific treatment, avoid repeated tests and inform future pregnancies.
  • Testing is chosen to answer a specific question, and results are explained with the family.

Developmental Regression

Developmental regression means a child loses skills they had already learned, such as words, eye contact, play, hand use or walking. It always needs prompt assessment. At Magical Minds Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Akanksha Bansal looks for the cause, which may include autism, epilepsy, hearing problems or genetic and metabolic conditions, and plans the next steps.

  • Losing a skill is different from being slow to gain one, and always needs prompt review.
  • Videos showing what your child could do before are among the most useful things to bring.
  • Causes include autism, epilepsy, hearing loss and genetic or metabolic conditions.
